We at WWW.CBR1000RR.CO.UK are happy to endorse Goodridge and their full range of brake line kits.
Goodridge have been manufacturing brake line kits for motorcycles for over 35 years supplying the highest quality products to the automotive and racing industry.
Goodridge guarantee superior quality, rapid delivery and reliability whether the application is high volume manufacture, motor sport, specialized industrial, or general road use.
Goodridge Stainless steel motorcycle brake line kits feature the finest quality hose, consisting of a PTFE inner and a stainless steel outer braid. This eliminates the spongy feel under arduous braking conditions giving greater braking efficiency as well as providing a superior resistance to abrasion and corrosion.
These kits not only provide reliability and safety demanded, but offer brilliant looks that improve the appearance of any bike, also available in ''Colourflex', produced in a stunning variety of translucent colors using a Hitrile Bonding.
Summary :
Let's face it, brakes on a motorcycle are arguably THE most important aspect of any bike.
Standard rubber / plastic brake lines over time degrade and stretch, when this happens braking becomes less effective and has less feedback for the rider, obviously this is not ideal when you really need them.
Personally I find it good practice to change your brake pads and brake fluid at the start of each season, just take at look at your own brake fluid and see what color the fluid is, if its brown or discolored then your ready for a change.
If you haven't treated yourself to a Goodridge brake line kit then now is as good an opportunity as any, most bikes today are fast, but with better braking you can brake later into a bend carrying much more corner speed and faster lap times.
Whether your into road or race brakes are paramount to performance and safety and Goodridge remain the No1 choice for all professionals.

COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW Goodridge Race Line Kit - by Matt Pike
So ... who are Goodridge and what do they do ?
Goodridge have been around now for over 35 years and are regarded as being the leading aftermarket hose and brake line provider, used by most professional motor sport teams and individuals alike.
What do they offer for my motorcycle ?
Goodridge offer either a traditional 3-line system or a race set up, the race kit is a simple two line system as apposed to the 3 line and they also offer colored brake lines too.
What's in the box ?
Installation
Installation of the new lines is easy and fairly straight forward, its simply reversing the process you use to remove your original brake lines with the new Goodridge lines, both rear and the two front lines took me approximately 1hr 30 minutes to remove, install and bleed the new system.
Bleeding
It makes sense to touch up on how to actually bleed the system, from my experience each bike tends to be different.
I have used the expensive kits you can buy on the market, I have also used those kits which claim one-step, single man operation by withdrawing the fluid from the bottom thus bleeding the system.
I can tell you from experience that none of these so-called gimmicks have worked for me, so this is the method I use which has never let me down yet.
1. Obtain a suitable sized container (around 1 liter) and clean this out thoroughly, I used a cadbury's hot chocolate tub
2. Cut a hole in the top of the lid
3. Get about 30 inches of clear plastic tube
4. Put about 1 inch of fresh fluid at the bottom of the container and put the lid on, then insert the clear pipe into the container so that the end in the container is submerged in the fluid.
Bleeding Operation
Once your at this stage your ready to bleed your brakes, after you have taken off the reservoir cap and drained the old fluid out and you have a clean line secured on the bike bleeding goes like this, its a two man operation :
Man 1. Squeeze the lever in until it touches the bar and hold the level and say 'ok'
Man 2. Carefully and slowly open the bleed nipple with the end of the clear plastic pipe connected and watch both air and fluid go through the pipe, then once the motion stops close the nipple and say ok.
Simply repeat the above steps until there is no air in the clear pipe and all you see if clear fluid, Man 1 must also make sure to keep the res topped up at all times and never let the res become empty or you will have to start all over again.
Finally I would like to say that the Castrol brake fluid is by far the best fluid I have ever used, be careful not to inhale it as its very toxic, as you can see from the picture the contrast in color from the old 'fried' brake fluid and the new castrol fluid. With the fluid being so clear you will be able to tell easily when your ready for a change.
The Road Test
Once I had installed the new lines and bled the system with fresh brake fluid the difference was instantly noticeable, no longer does my brake lever come back to the bar, I now only have 3/4" of travel before the lever is stiff, this combined with my Pazzo Racing Levers offers me awesome feel for the front brake and I can now stop the bike on a penny.
The biggest change though was at the rear, before I had so much travel on the rear brake and it never seamed to do anything, as with the front set up I now only have 3/4" of travel before the rear brake is on and it feels solid with lots of feedback, this has seriously improved my slow speed control in both u-turns and filtering through traffic.
Conclusion
With the level of performance today's machines offer its common sense that attention should be made towards braking. You know the score and we've all been there, you may have entered a bend a little too hot and your hearts in your mouth and you don't know if your going to make it round ? I know I certainly have, it's at times like this when you'll wish you had Goodridge lines installed on your bike.
When dealing with Goodridge I have found their service second to none in terms of customer support, product quality and fast turn around, but not just the lines, pads and fluid need equal attention to offer trouble free enjoyment with safety being paramount on today's roads.
If your brakes are not up to scratch then please, do yourself a favor and spend an hour or so sorting out the brakes, it could just save your life.
Editors Note : Obviously neither WWW.CBR1000RR.CO.UK nor Goodridge condone speeding on a public highway - please use common sense and ride safely.

We rate this product
5 out of 5
The Goodridge race kit comes in a plastic box with 3 lines and yellow soft plastic caps on the ends for protection and a bag of banjo bolts plus copper washes plus 2 Goodridge decals.
As you can see from the picture to the left, the original 3 line system as taken off the bike, the lines looked tired and well past their sell by date.
